Turn PDF bank statements into spreadsheets you can trust.
Drop in a statement from any US bank or card. Get Excel, CSV, or an OFX file for QuickBooks and Xero. Every conversion is checked against the statement's own opening and closing balance, so you know nothing was dropped.

Several at once is fine. Files are read on your computer and never uploaded.
How it works
- Add your statements. Text-based PDFs downloaded from online banking work best. Add a whole year at once if you're catching up.
- Check the balance proof. Each statement shows opening balance plus money in, minus money out, compared with the closing balance. If it doesn't match to the cent, you'll see by how much.
- Download and import. Excel for review, CSV for anything, OFX for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and Xero bank imports.
Pricing
Your first statement is free, no account needed. After that, buy credits. One credit converts one statement in every format. Credits don't expire.
| Credits | Price | Per statement |
|---|---|---|
| 1 statement | $3 | $3.00 |
| 12 statements, a year of one account | $19 | $1.58 |
| 50 statements | $49 | $0.98 |
Your statement never leaves your computer
Most converters upload your statement to their servers. Tallyline reads the PDF inside your browser, so account numbers and transactions are never sent anywhere. The only thing that reaches our server is a request to use a credit. You can check this yourself: open your browser's network tab while converting.
Questions
Which banks work?
Any statement PDF with selectable text: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One, credit unions and most others. If you can highlight the text in the PDF, Tallyline can read it.
What about scanned statements?
Scanned or photographed statements are images without text, and aren't supported yet. Download the PDF from your online banking instead.
How do I import into QuickBooks?
In QuickBooks Online, go to Banking, choose Upload transactions, pick the account, and select the OFX or CSV file. In QuickBooks Desktop, use File, Utilities, Import, Web Connect Files with the OFX file.
What if the balance check doesn't match?
You'll see the exact difference before you download. That usually means an unusual layout. Email us the bank name and we'll fix the reader. If a paid conversion was wrong, we'll refund it.
Are credit card statements supported?
Yes. Charges come out as money out and payments as money in, so the file imports the right way round.
